Trap/Skeet/Clay Shooting with Shotguns

This class focuses on the basics of clay, trap, skeet, and bird hunting style of shooting with shooting at moving targets. Learn and apply skills that will translate to clay shooting or hunting. This class will give you an insight on how to acquire, track, and lead moving targets. You'll get a chance to understand what chokes are and how each one transforms your shooting. This course was designed for the new shooter so any skill level would be welcome to join.

- Bring a suitable shotgun for distance shooting (short barrels like self defense shotguns won't work for this style of shooting)

- 100 rounds of your favorite birdshot

- Dress for outdoor shooting - hat, glasses, water bottle, closed toe shoes, ear protection, etc

Tactical Shotgun/Home Defense Shotgun

Get ready for a fast paced class on defending your home with your self defense shotgun. This class will cover concealment vs cover, differences between birdshot vs buckshot, emergency/tactical reloading, multiple target threats, shoot don't shoot drills, shooting from different positions, and movement between shots with your firearm.

- Bring your self defense shotgun (shorter barrel 20" and under)

- Any type of shotgun Ammo is welcomed but we recommend bringing the same type you would have loaded in your home and bringing 50 rounds. Feel free to rotate some birdshot, buckshot, and slug to give a well rounded experience.

- Add a shooting pad to your shotgun if you don't handle recoil well (our local store carries them)

- Dress and be prepared for outdoor shooting, closed toe sneakers or boots, crew neck shirt, water, bug spray, etc.
