Unarmed Guard License

The Security D Course is a 42 hour training class that will teach students the basic principles of security including; physical security, access control, terrorism awareness and emergency procedures. You need this course/license in order to take the armed course. This course takes place over 4 days.

Armed Security Guard

The 28 hour G course is a highly specialized Security Officer training course; designed to get you familiar with the aspects of being an Armed Security Officer. You must have your unarmed license or already taken an unarmed license class to attend. You must legally be allowed to possess a firearm to attend. Firearm, ammo, belt, and magazine holster rentals are available. Keep in mind this class isn't designed to teach you how to shoot! This class verifies your skill and ability to perform the required state level shooting qualification. If you are not a trained shooter we recommend you take a class or two from us prior to attempting this course. This class requires you to be well versed in drawing from a holster and hitting a self defense size target consistently. You will need the following..

- Pistol chambered in 9mm, 40 caliber, or 45acp

- A MINIMUM of 3 magazines

- An outside the waistband holster

- A magazine pouch that holds 2 additional magazines on your belt line

- A MINIMUM of 250 rounds, the more the better

Yearly Re-qualification and Range Day For G License

The State of Florida requires a yearly 4hr re-qualification to maintain your G License. Re-qualification must be done every year with the type of handgun you carry on duty. Keep in mind if you miss the Re-qualification due date you must do the full 28 hour course all over again. This link is also used for the 8 hour needed range day for online referrals as well.
